What if I or my child has a fear of water (water phobia)?
We understand that overcoming a fear of water is a significant step, and our experienced and patient coaches are here to help. At TheSwimFactory Singapore, we create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment specifically designed to build confidence in the water. What is the ideal age to start swimming lessons, and do you cater to adults?
We believe it’s never too early or too late to learn to swim! For children, we generally recommend starting lessons from 6 months old with parent-and-child classes, as early exposure helps build water confidence and safety awareness. For independent lessons, many children are ready from around 3-4 years old, depending on their readiness and comfort level. And yes, absolutely! We have dedicated programs for adults of all skill levels, from complete beginners looking to overcome fear to those wanting to refine their stroke or train for fitness.

What should I bring for my/my child's first swimming lesson?
To ensure a smooth and comfortable first lesson, please bring the following:
- Swimwear: A comfortable swimsuit for yourself or your child.
- Goggles: Essential for clear vision and protecting the eyes.
- Swim Cap: Recommended to keep hair out of the face and reduce drag.
- Towel: For drying off after the lesson.
- Drinking Water: Staying hydrated is important.
- Sunscreen: If lessons are outdoors.
- A positive attitude!
Any specific equipment like kickboards or pull buoys will be provided by our coaches during the lesson. We look forward to seeing you in the water!
